Vintage Oil Painting of a Buck / Pursuing Vintage

I was so excited to find this terrific framed oil on canvas, dated 1897!  When I first found it, I thought it would be perfect for a man cave or den.  But then… I got thinking about fall and decided it would be even more perfect for my fall fireplace mantel!

This mantel is so different than the blue and white ginger jar I usually have on my mantel.

I’m enjoying the painting while I have it, but keep an eye on the Pursuing Vintage Shop because it’ll be available soon for purchase!

Time to go enjoy a mug of warm cider!

Can you believe Easter is right around the corner?!  My kids wake up every morning asking if the Easter Bunny was here… Ummm… no, not yet!  It’s going to be a long week and a half!

I want to share some fun Easter-inspired vintage finds with you!

I’m loving these alabaster eggs with their vintage stands.

Vintage Wire Egg Basket by Pursuing Vintage

This wire egg basket just screams put a plant in me!!!  Of course, it would be a great Easter egg basket!

Vintage Pysanka Eggs by Pursuing Vintage

These vintage Ukrainian pysanka (or pysanky) are colorful and whimsical.

None of these are necessarily things you can “only use at Easter”.  They would work great integrated into decor any time of the season.  But, if you order ASAP, you can receive them in time for the Easter holiday!  They are all available in the Pursuing Vintage Shop.

Happy St. Patrick’s Day!  Since we’re all seeing green today, I thought I’d share this enviable emerald green room:

The beautiful green velvet sofa is accented by green vintage pottery, a palm leaf pendant, and a bamboo wallpaper lined bookshelf.  I know chevron is a bit overdone lately, but I think it’s fun with this sofa and Platner table.  The bold abstract art is perfect.  And who doesn’t love a metallic elephant garden stool?

Kisses to all the Irish today!
