Deck the halls!  I’m slowly and steadily adding holiday decor to our home.  I’m nowhere near as organized as last year.  And I’m definitely not as organized as this woman:

The Pursuing Vintage Shop has some great Christmas items, including some amazing vintage glass ornaments.  (Click on the photo to see it in the Shop).

Our tree is up, the lights glowing, and the ornaments hanging.  I just love having a Christmas tree in the house.  The glow from the lights is magical.  And now I get to see the delight on my sons’ faces as they look at the tree and explore the ornaments.

Here are a few of my favorite ornaments:

Chair Ornament

Every year St. Nick tries to give the kids and my husband an ornament that somehow reflects their interests or personality.  My husband received this Adirondack chair because we have several, including two in the front yard that my husband likes to paint different colors seasonally (right now they’re Washington Redskins colors… I think it is time to change that!).

Melted Snowman Sled Ornament

Big Boy had barely turned two when we took him to a holiday open house at the local park district.  One activity was to make a “snowman on a sled” ornament.  Being only two, he just smooshed the snowman onto the sled, so I like to interpret it as the “Melted Snowman on a Sled” ornament!

Wine Bottle Ornament

A few years ago my husband and I were out shopping and found this wine bottle ornament.  We adjusted the “vintage” to the appropriate year.  Obviously we enjoy drinking red wine!  The only thing wrong is that this bottle is just way too small….

Do you have a favorite ornament on your tree?
