I love it when I score a WHOLE SET of amazing chairs! Sure, one great chair is fun, a pair is terrific, but a set of six is worth doing a dance! (I’ll spare you.)
These chairs are like chameleons! They can blend in and adapt with many decor styles.
These chairs are always stunning with a Saarinen tulip table (on my 2015 Wish List!)

This Sputnik-type chandelier and open-base table also complement the chairs.

The look and feel of the chairs completely changes when paired with this rustic farm table.

They even look great painted – love the red on these.

How do you prefer your Thonet chairs? With a more modern feel, or vintage & rustic?
If you have a spot for them – they are available in The Pursuing Vintage Shop!
Kristen excellent score. I love them in the black lacquer, even though the natural is beautiful as well!
Also like them with more modern as opposed to rustic setting.

Never knew what these babies were called, thanks Kristen!
Hi Kristin-
I saw these through Cassie at Primitive and Proper. I got a set of these in the red stain for $15 at a thrift store this summer. After some research I found out that these Stendig Prague chairs go for about $200-$400 each! If you knew that then tell me to shut my mouth! If not, you just got a great find!!
Happy thrifting,
Kim
I didn’t realize these chairs were so versatile. Great collection of pictures!
These are sooooo pretty and I love how you’ve shown us how they look in different rooms! The black paint is my favorite. I have wire Bertoia (knock-off) chairs at the moment and the fiancé hates them, so I’ve started to think about what’ll be next. 🙂
