If I had a Hollywood pad, it would look like this:
I saw this room in a recent issue of Elle Decor and thought “not too shabby”. Okay, I really thought something more along the lines of “if I didn’t have kids I, too, could have a white sofa and a square glass coffee table because I wouldn’t have to worry about someone wiping chocolate hands on the fabric or splitting a forehead on the glass“.
But, really, I love this room. The Barcelona chair, the brass table and ottoman bases, the white sofa with colorful pillows, striped rug, pink poufs… what is not to love?
Here is the official caption from Elle Decor:
The living room of television producer Ellen Rakieten’s Los Angeles apartment, which was designed by Anne Coyle. A Louis XV–style desk by Baker is paired with a side chair by Jonathan Adler, the 1940s chandelier is Italian, and the mirrored walls and concrete flooring are original to the apartment.
So if I had to have a Hollywood pad, I’d totally live here. Even with kids.
