I need a new chandelier for my dining room.  We used to have a really pretty crystal one that was, more or less, flush-mount.  With our small living space, I thought that would open up the space.  But the dining room was always lacking something.  So one day we decided to see what the dining room would look like with a hanging chandelier.  We found one for almost-nothing on Craigslist to hang up and live with for awhile.  It’s tolerable.  But not great.  It is lacking character, and the “wow” that I desire for the space.

We’ve got something similar to this now – but ours is silver-tone and has the glass shades:

I’ve been looking on eBay to try to find something funky, something vintage.

Here are some chandeliers that caught my eye (sorry for the small size of the photos, not quite sure what happened!):

Vintage GAETANO SCIOLARI Lightolier Glass Rods Chandelier

Vintage Lightolier Sciolari Glass Rod Chandelier

These Sciolari chandeliers are so different!  I love them!

3 Tier Chandelier – Wedding Cake Style

This might be too big.  But I love the glam!

Frosted Glass & Brass Chandelier

I love the shape of this one – but not crazy about the frosted glass.

Vintage German Chandelier

Always love crystals.

Lucite Chandelier

Lucite love!

Mid Century Danish Teak Chandelier

There’s something about this that really captures my attention.  Fabulous lines.

1960’s Crystal Chandelier

I love this.

Possibly a little too overdone now?  But how fun??!

What do you think?  Seen anything fun lately?

It’s hard to pick a favorite, they’re all so great!! I especially love the first (Sciolari) and the 1960’s crystal one.
