It’s Monday.  I feel like lounging.  I need some scantily clad muscular men to fan me and bring me chocolate.  And a Starbucks.

That’s probably not going to happen, but maybe if I just sit in this chair for awhile, I can feel like a queen and daydream…

Wicker Peacock Chair

It needs a little love, but has potential.  Pricing info in the SHOP.

Here are some other peacock chairs used in design:

Nice natural color next to a mid-century console.

Large white peacock chair, vintage trunk, modern chair – and is that a disco ball?!  So glam!

House Beautiful

Great with a mix of rattan furniture and neutrals.

Definitely a statement piece!

Just a funny little story before I sign-off today.  When I was in high school we moved into a house that had been professionally decorated about fifteen years prior.  The wicker furniture was sold with the house, because of the large porches.  There was a LOT of high quality white wicker furniture.  Included were two HUGE white peacock chairs!  I remember at the time we thought they were SO funny, and out-of-style (this was the mid-nineties, so we really weren’t seeing a lot of them).  We stashed them away somewhere… Hurry Ma!  Dig them out of storage!  They’re making a comeback!  Ahh – the cycle of design!

Its funny when you get old enough to see things come back into style. I am buying things that I would have put out by the curb 15 years ago. Makes me afraid to get rid of anything.

I always hesitate to get rid of stuff because I’m sure I’ll use it again! I just don’t have space, so I’ve gotten better about just letting stuff go. Hard to do, though!
