Election day is over!  I’m so excited for those annoying political TV ads to end.

So, in honor of November 5th having come and gone, let’s put the campaign to bed.  Literally.  (Aren’t you used to my totally corny sense of humor yet??!)

Campaign Headboard Twin

This is a twin size headboard (measures 42″ wide and 38″ tall).  It is wood – and it is heavy.  Part of the back has some particle board of some sort:

Overall it is in really good condition.  I don’t want to be the one to do it, but I think it would look terrific in a bright color (I keep seeing red in my mind).

Campaign Close Up

What color would you paint?  Or would you leave it au naturale?

That’s it for now — I’ve gotta get back to work!  Tomorrow is the culmination of the  One Room Challenge Linking Party.  Be sure to check out my Mudroom Makeover.  Do you think it will be done on time???!  I don’t know…  (No, really.  I don’t know…)

Today, be sure to check out the official One Room Challenge participants at Calling it Home.  Amazing work being done by everyone!

Now where did I put that hammer?

Is it a desk?  A dresser?

Campaign Desk Bar Dresser

… or a BAR?

I want it to be a bar.

But you can make it anything you want!

Campaign Dresser Bar Desk

I love that this has drawers for storage (always a MUST for me).  The lighting is such an unexpected perk!

This piece does have wear.  It really needs a new home where someone will throw a fabulous coat of paint on it.

Here is some inspiration in the form of fold-down bars and desks:
