Blue & White Gingham LOVE
For some reason, the onset of spring makes me yearn for gingham.  Checked gingham is such an innocent, fresh fabric pattern.  Which is probably why we frequently see it in nurseries.  I have Baby Boy’s nursery decked out in Pottery Barn Kids gingham.  I always stop at a display of gingham shirts.  Gingham ribbon makes my heart skip a beat.  What is it about gingham??!
In honor of today’s Blue & White Bash at The Pink Pagoda, I’m going to explore some blue & white gingham in fashion as well as home decor.  Let’s dive in!
Starting with home decor:

Adorable children’s room with gingham wall covering.

Another example of blue & white gingham wall coverings… with a nautical twist.  I mean, who doesn’t love a whale with gingham?!

A pretty little gingham window seat paired with blue & white porcelain is perfection!

Just a splash of buffalo check gingham on a pillow or chair keeps things mature.

I think it’s kind of daring to use gingham in this eclectic living room… and I think it works.  Do you?

Beautiful vignette.  Though I’d rather see the chair upholstered in the fabric, not slipcovered.

I don’t know that I would ever think to choose a gingham sofa, but I like it!

This room is so sweet!

Gingham doesn’t just have to be used in home decor fabrics.  It is a classic fabric for clothing.  I always see adorable gingham shirts but never know how to wear them.  Let’s get some ideas!

Under a sweater, paired with a pencil skirt, a gingham shirt is vibrant and still sophisticated.

A statement necklace and bright sweater looks adorable!

Paired with a neutral skirt and pearls, this look is great for business casual.

I can’t say that I would have ever thought to pair a gingham shirt with animal print, but it’s so funky and fun!

So “Paul Bunyan”!

via Kitties & Couture

Gingham shirts work well with coffee.

The shirt is a classic with some bright shorts and cute sandals.

Okay – I’m ready to decorate and dress in head to toe gingham!  When you see this person walking down the street…

…it will be me!  In the meantime, I’m heading over to The Pink Pagoda to take in all the blue & white eye candy today!  Be sure to check it out!
