I absolutely love the look of a gallery wall. Especially a gallery wall done with vintage art sprinkled with some current pieces. Portraits are so interesting to me. Faces of people, strangers. I’ve written about my love of vintage portraits before, so let me jump in by showing you some great new art finds that are available in the Pursuing Vintage Shop (look under Decor).
Meet this red headed beauty. So serious! She measures 17″ x 18″.
This one is titled Patrinka on the Bed and dated 1973. She measures 12″ x 14″. There are some issues with the wood pieces attached, but the painting itself is gorgeous.
This still life of pink roses is soft and feminine. It measures 17″ x 14″ and is dated 1984.
All of the paintings are by an artist named Kramer. The canvases are in great condition and would be beautiful additions to any gallery wall.
Let’s take a look at some gallery walls for inspiration:

In the kitchen! The way these are hung really emphasizes the high ceilings.
I love the mix of graphic/modern art with photography and paintings. So fun and fresh!
Terrific portraits are displayed beautifully on these dark walls (and you can see the rest of this bedroom at Design du Monde).

I love that these are all portraits. Different eras, but all people. Interesting in a haunting kind of way!
Again, keeping with a theme, the seascapes are beautiful and calming.

Interesting mix of media on awesome green walls.
Lots of different types of vintage art really add interest. And how fun are those geese?
Do you have a gallery wall in your home? If so, what do you have displayed?
Don’t forget to take a peek in the Shop! Lots of decor right now! Some fun gift ideas!

Hey, I know that wall! I like your gallery walls. There are some really unusual examples.
You know the Portrait Gallery is one of my favorite museums. Who can resist that huge painting of LL Cool J!?
