If you’re skipping the lines and crowds today, you can still shop!  Just think “small”.  I’d say “local” but with this being a cyber community, we’re all over.  So I’ll use the word “small” instead.  Like small business.  I urge you to remember that great gifts can be found at  your local businesses, and online by wonderful artisans and curators.  Let’s support each other, instead of just spending our dollars at big businesses (I’m certainly not preaching — I know I’ve ordered my fair share from Amazon last week!).  The best part is, usually the lines are shorter at your local small businesses, and there are NO lines online!  (And you don’t have to change out of your comfy pants.  I do best online shopping that way!)

Etsy is a great place to look for unique gifts.  Don’t forget about the Etsy shops I’ve featured, all of which offer amazing products: Kerry Steele Fine Art, Denmark West, PopcelonaLucite Leg Creations, and Mapleton Drive.  And, of course, Pursuing Vintage has a lot of great items in the shop – lots of decor right now!

We’ll do a Thanksgiving recap next week – but for now, enjoy the holiday weekend!

A happy Thanksgiving to you and yours!

I have had two amazing days!  Yesterday I opened my mail to find this adorable and glam acrylic box from Kelly at Mapleton Drive!

Here’s a close up – isn’t it terrific?!

Be sure to check out Mapleton Drive for some great holiday gift ideas!

Today, I opened my door to find another package.  Inside was this beautiful painting by Kerry at Design du Monde.  Last week she had a giveaway, and I won!  I never win anything!  I’m so glad that the first time I won something it was a Kerry Steele original!  I couldn’t be a happier girl!

Thank you so much Kelly and Kerry!  My house just got ten times prettier this week!
